Role in Roman Religion

Juno was worshipped as the protector of women, families, and the Roman state. Together with Jupiter and Minerva, she formed the powerful Capitoline Triad. She was believed to watch over every stage of a woman’s life.

Cult and Temples

Juno had many titles, each linked to a specific role: Juno Regina (Queen), Lucina (childbirth), and Moneta (protector of the state). Temples dedicated to her stood on the Capitoline Hill and in many Roman cities.
